Aim to simplify the fraction $\frac{-24}{32}$ $= \frac{-24}{32}$ $= -\frac{12}{16}$ $= -\frac{6}{8}$ $= -\frac{3}{4}$ Aim to cancel out the variables $a$, $b$, $c$ by referring to numerator and denominator: $= \frac{abc^{2}}{bc}$ $= \frac{ac}{y}$ Since there is NO $a$ on the denominator, then $a$ is left on the numerator and is not touched. $b$'s cancel each other out since there is only one $b$ in each numerator and denominator. $c^{2}$ becomes $c$ since you cancel one $c$ out from each the numerator and denominator to leave you with only one $c$ in the numerator. We multiply the components together to obtain: $\frac{-3ac}{4}$
