Factor : $x^{3}-8 = x^{3} - 2^{3}$ By the well known formula : $x^{3} - y^{3} = (x-y)(x^{2}+xy+y^{2})$ Hence, $x^{3}-8 = x^{3} - 2^{3} = (x-2)(x^{2}+2x+4)$
