The equation: $$\frac{x^2}{49}+\frac{y^2}{100}=1$$ Represents an ellipse with $y$ as major axis

The equation: $$\frac{x^2}{49}+\frac{y^2}{100}=1$$ Has the form $$\frac{x^2}{b^2}+\frac{y^2}{a^2}=1$$ which represents an ellipse. The letter $a$ says which is major axis is. If $a$ is under $x$, the major axis is $x$ otherwise if $a$ is under $y$, the major axis is $y$.
