Chapter 10 - Section 10.1 - Sequences and Summation Notation - Exercise Set - Page 1050: 75

Answer

The graph of a sequence is a discrete graph.

Work Step by Step

Let us say one has a sequence $\left\{ {{a}_{n}} \right\},n=1,2,3,...$ When we plot the points (x, ${{a}_{n}}$ ) on the graph. We observe that the graph plotted is not continuous and discrete. Since the sequence contains all the discrete points, therefore the plot of the sequence must be a discrete plot.
