Chapter 10 - Geometry - 10.5 Volume and Surface Area - Exercise Set 10.5 - Page 658: 56

Answer

The volume of the car will exceed its model by 1000 times.

Work Step by Step

In geometry, volume may be defined as the capacity or space that is being occupied by an item. The volume is expressed in terms of cubic units. The volume of a rectangular solid is computed by multiplying the length, width, and height of the rectangular solid. If all the dimensions that are length, breadth, and height of a particular solid figure, that is, model of the car are 1/10th of the actual solid figure, that is, a car, then, in that case, the volume of the model must be taking 1000 times less space on comparing with the space occupied by the actual car. As a result, the volume of the actual car will exceed its model by 1000 times.
