If $f(x)$ is an odd function then $h(x)=[f(x)]^2$ is an even function.
If $f(x)$ is an odd function, then $f(-x)=-f(x)$. $h(-x)=[f(-x)]^2=[-f(x)]^2=[f(x)]^2=h(x)$ If $h(-x)=h(x)$ we can conclude that $h(x)$ is an even function.
