Given a function $f(x)$, if a point $(x,y)$ belongs to the graph of $f$, then $(y,x)$ belongs to the graph of $f^{-1}$. Therefore, in the table of $f(x)$ we reverse $x$ and $f(x)$ to find the table of $f^{-1}$:
