Throughout the study of Number the Stars, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.
Day 1's "Best Friendship" activity requires online publishing. The "Mapping Denmark" activity will use internet research, as will the "About the Author" activity on Day 2.
Day 2's "Rosh Hashanah, the Synagogue, and the Threat" activity requires watching a video from the Holocaust Memorial Museum that may be disturbing to some students.
On Day 3 & 4, the "Podcasts in Code" activity requires recording technology as well as document sharing....
