Ever since he was at school, Chris Kyle had dreamed of being a cowboy. That life thrilled him immensely and the boy proved to be quite a skillful horse rider. He even started going to college that was famous for preparing perfect farm managers. After an unfortunate a fall from a horse, Kyle understood that it wasn’t what he wanted to do. The young man decided to join the Navy even though he knew that it wouldn’t be easy. The first time he tried the answer was a definite no. Later on, when Kyle was almost ready to say goodbye to his dream, he got a call that changed his life. The man was going to go through the training and become a SEAL.
That period of his life was intense. Exhausting workouts, beating, humiliation, and a large number of duties didn’t make Kyle’s life easier, but he loved every minute of it. The man had a goal and was ready to work for it. By the end of training, he met a woman who would become his wife. Then 9/11 happened and Kyle’s platoon had to go to Iraq. The battlefield didn’t scare him, on the contrary he was eager to take part in real action. Even the war couldn’t prevent him from working on his skills; the SEAL was mastering the art of being a sniper. Every day brought a new challenge, for insurgents weren’t ready to give up. However, Kyle and other Marines weren’t going to let them win. When he got home, the SEAL was shocked. It seemed to him that no one really cared about the Marines, the SEALs, and the soldiers who fought in Iraq for their country.
Taya, his parents, and even his neighbors tried to do everything they could to prove him wrong; they welcomed him back like a true hero. Kyle was happy enough at home, but he couldn’t forget that he was a SEAL and his job was to protect his country and fight its enemies, so he left for Iraq as soon as he was called. Neither his newborn son nor his wife could stop him. His second time in that country turned him into a universal soldier. Owing to special training he completed back in the USA during his short vacation, the man got a chance to take part in the most dangerous and action-packed operations. Taya wasn’t happy about her husband’s decision to go back; she tried to understand him, but it hurt her to realize that she and their two children were not the number one on the list of his priorities.
Kyle survived the war and returned to his family. No matter how happy everyone was about it, the man couldn’t help feeling a bit strange. It was the enemy that Kyle wasn’t ready to face, it was PTSD. After a long period of hardship, the man learned how to be himself again. He left the Navy to settle down.
