Taya Kyle is Chris’ wife. When Chris goes to the war, she stays at home, waiting for him to return. The waiting is difficult, but she tries to be strong and brave for their family’s sake. Though they love each other, the pair has enough problems caused by Chris’ long absence.

Mr. and Mrs. Kyle are Chris’ parents. He also has a younger brother whose name he keeps in a secret.
David Landrum
David Landrum is a ranch owner. Christ used to work at his ranch when he was a student.
Marcus Luttrell
Marcus Luttrell is Chris’ good friend and a SEAL.
Marc Lee
Marc Lee is one of Chris’ best friends. Just like Chris, Marc chooses a military career. His death leaves a terrible impact on Chris.
