    Individual Writing

    Objective:

    Students will view the play through the lens of an editor, correcting typos and adding footnotes where appropriate

    Structure:

    The advantage of a bare-bones, urtext edition is that the reader gets an unfiltered version of the text. Since there are no footnotes or editorial input, the reader is free to make their own interpretation. Assign students sections of the text within Act II to read with an eagle's eye and clear up misspellings (or antiquated spellings) or other typos, look up words or turns of phrase that are...
