If the block slides down the plane with a constant velocity, then the component of the block's weight directed down the plane must be equal in magnitude to the force of kinetic friction directed up the plane. Normally the maximum possible force of static friction is greater than the force of kinetic friction. Then the maximum possible force of static friction is greater in magnitude than the component of the block's weight directed down the plane. Therefore, the block will not slide down the plane again.
