For x =1000 : z = $\frac{1000-845}{270}$ = 0.5741 For x =1440: z = $\frac{1440-845}{270}$ = 2.2037 $P(1000 \leq x \leq 1440)$ = $P(0.5741 \leq z \leq 2.2037)$ = 0.9862-0.717 = .2692 approximately. b. For x =730 : z = $\frac{730-845}{270}$ = -0.4259 $P(x \geq 730 )$ = $P(z \geq -0.4259 )$ = .6649 approximately.
