In order to find equivalent fractions, we multiply each fraction by one (which is allowed because anything times one is itself). However, we don't write 1; rather, we multiply by other fractions that equal one, such as 2/2, 3/3, 4/4, 5/5, 6/6, 7/7, etc. Thus, we find that ways to write 7/10 include: 14/20, 21/30, 28/40, 35/50, and 42/60.
