In order to simplify a fraction, we first need to find the greatest common factor for the number in the numerator and the number in the denominator. Then, we divide both the numerator and the denominator by this number to get the simplified form of the fraction. The greatest common factor of 3 and 16 is 1, so the fraction is in its simplest form.
