Skills Handbook - Multiplying and Dividing Fractions - Exercises - Page 792: 5

Work Step by Step

To multiply fractions, we must multiply the numerators (tops of the fractions) by the denominators (bottoms of the fractions). We first have to turn the whole numbers into fractions, and then we can obtain: $\frac{21}{4}\times\frac{2}{3}=\frac{42}{ 12}=\frac{7}{2}$
