Justin Timberlake is an American singer-songwriter, as well as actor, who was cast as the main protagonist in Andrew Niccol's movie In Time. He plays the role of Will Salas, a poor factory worker who lives with his mother in a dystopian future where people stop aging on their 25th birthday and where time is used as currency. He was offered the role soon after his co-star Amanda Seyfried.

American actress Amanda Seyfried was the first one to join the cast of In Time after she was offered to play the lead part of Sylvia Weis, daughter of a very rich time-loaning businessman. This was her first role in a science-fiction film, and despite very mixed reviews the movie has grossed more than 172 million dollars worldwide. It wasn't her sole collaboration with director Andrew Niccol, as Seyfried also stars in his 2018 movie Anon.
