We know that the direction of growth of a plant is opposite to the direction of gravitational force. Let us consider the example of a simple pendulum placed on the rim of the turntable. If the table is at rest then the pendulum hangs vertically downward while on the ground the plant grows vertically upward. But if the table is rotating then the pendulum tilts outward and hence the plant tilts in the opposite direction -- that is, inward.
