What do you think is the message at the heart of “How to Triumph Like a Girl”? Explain.
Strong responses will realize that feminism is the main theme of this poem. While the feminist message is delivered indirectly, it is not subtle--between the diction of the poem and the suggestion that women are perceived as delicate but are (like lady horses) powerful, winning creatures whose hearts are genius machines.
