Foreign migrant workers
Foreign migrant workers are those who purposefully come to California to work. Those mentioned in these articles include Chinese, Japanese, Mexican and Filipino workers. They are treated as human waste and as soon as their finish their work for a minimum wage ways are being searched to get rid of them. Some try to organize themselves for their own protection, but this attempt is quickly shut down.
American migrant workers
These include people from the so called "Dust Bowl" of America who lost everything they had because of drought and are migrating to California in search for work to survive. They are treated just like migrant workers below any human decency. But unlike foreign workers they have been forced to migrate to look for jobs, and unlike foreign workers they have nowhere else to go. They are there to stay, so they need to be treated accordingly.
