Extremely drug-resistant tuberculosis or XDR TB is a type of tuberculosis caused by an organism that is resistant to the most potent TB drugs- isoniazid and rifampin. XDR TB is spread through the suspended TB bacteria in the air released from the cough or sneeze of an infected person. MRSA infection is caused by a type of staph bacteria that becomes resistant to a number of antibiotics including penicillin. This infection often occurs in people who stay in hospitals for treatment. The infection may also be community-acquired that usually begins with a skin boil and is spread by skin-to-skin contact.
