Work Step by Step

Antibiotics must be taken as prescribed by the doctor. The amount per day and the duration of intake must be followed to effectively kill all the target bacteria. Even if you feel well after taking doses of antibiotics, the entire treatment must be completed since some bacteria may live on and become resistant to the antibiotic. Antibiotic must also be taken at the same time of the day at regular intervals. Alcohol consumption must also be avoided since it decreases the effectiveness of antibiotics and increases the risk of side effects. Take antibiotics with water since some liquids may interact and affect how the body absorbs the antibiotics.
