The characteristics of life depend on from what level of development an organism is derived. The difference from the lowest order to the highest order (fungi to human) depends on the intelligence of the organism. Another characteristic is whether the organism is aerobic or anaerobic. Reproduction could be sexual and/or asexual. Digestion is done through osmosis, diffusion, or oral manners.
