Answer

Nutrients may be classified crudely into two large classes, macronutrients and micronutrients: 1. Macronutrients. This class includes carbohydrates (cho), proteins, lipids(fats) and water 2. Class Two is composed of vitamins and minerals Macronutrients are so called because the body requires relatively large amounts of them. On the contrary , only very small amounts of micronutrients are necessary to maintain normal health. These amounts vary with stage of life and degree of physical activity.

Work Step by Step

The amounts of macronutrients required daily are 2.5 liters, 125-175 grams, 80-100 grams, and 44-60 grams of water, carbohydrates, lipids (fats), and proteins respectively. The recommended daily allowances (RDA) for minerals and vitamins are for minerals 0.05-3,300 milligrams (mg), and for vitamins 0.002-60 mg.
