Chapter 13, Trigonometric Ratios and Functions - 13.5 Apply the Law of Sines - 13.5 Exercises - Skill Practice - Page 886: 3

Answer

SSA, One Triangle.

Work Step by Step

Law of sines: $\dfrac{a}{\sin A}=\dfrac{b}{\sin B}$ From the given measurements and information it can be be seen that we have side side angle as two sides and an angle are given. Also, $\dfrac{\sin 112}{9}=\dfrac{\sin B}{4}$ This gives: $B \approx 24.3356$ This means that we have only One Triangle. Hence: SSA, One Triangle.
