Chapter 5 - Linear Functions - 5-3 Slope-Intercept Form - Practice and Problem-Solving Exercises - Page 311: 60

Answer

Wrong y-intercept and wrong slope

Work Step by Step

The y-intercept is supposed to be (0,1) because 1 is the y-intercept in the equation that is given to us. However on the graph, the graph hits the y-axis at (0,-2) Also, the slope is incorrect as well. The slops is -2 given by the equation however the slope in the graph is 1. We found this by picking two points on the line and using the slope formula: $\frac{y1-y2}{x1-x2}$
