The graph of y=$x^{3}$ is graphed below and to graph the function y=$3x^{3}$ we stretch the graph vertically by a factor of three. For each x-value, we multiply each y-value times 3. So for example, the point (1,1) of function y=$x^{3}$ becomes (1,3) for the function y=$3x^{3}$ as the y-value is 3 times.
