## Algebra 1

Without given operation: To find the mean, we add up all of the values and divide by the total number of values. Mean: $\frac{13.2+12.4+15.1+14.7+14.2}{5} = 13.92$ To find the median, we order up all of the values from least to greatest and find the middle number. If there are an even total number of terms, then we take the average of the two terms that are closest to the middle. Median: $12.4, 13.2, 14.2, 14.7, 15.1 \rightarrow 14.2$ To find the mode, we determine the number that shows up the most. If there is no unique term that shows up the most times, then the mode does not exist. Mode: Does not exist To find the range, we subtract the smallest term from the largest term. Range: $15.1-12.4=2.7$ From rules involving operations on sets of data, we know that multiplying a constant value to each term is the same as multiplying the constant value to the mean, median, mode, and range of the original set of data. Mean: 13.92*3=41.76 Median: 14.2*3=42.6 Mode: Does not exist Range: 2.7*3=8.1
