Answer

A straight line through points (3,0) and (0,−9)

Work Step by Step

We are looking for the x and y intercepts so that we can draw the graph; to do this, we have to plug 0 in for the y and x coordinates. To find y- intercept, let $x = 0 $ $6x−2y=18$ $6(0)-2y=18$ $(6\times0)-2y=18$ $-2y=18$ $\frac{-2x}{-2}=\frac{18}{-2}$ $y=-9$ Therefore $y=(0,-12)$ To find x-intercept, let $y=0$: $6x−2y=18$ $6x-2(0)=18$ $6x-(2\times0)=18$ $6x=18$ $\frac{6x}{6}=\frac{18}{6}$ $x=3$ Therefore $x=(3,0)$
