Answer

A straight line through the points (3,0) and (0,−12)

Work Step by Step

We are looking for the x and y intercepts so that we can draw the graph; to do this, we have to plug 0 in for the y and x coordinates. To find y- intercept, let $x = 0 $ $−4x+y=-12$ $−4(0)+y=-12$ $y=-12$ Therefore $y=(0,-12)$ To find x-intercept, let $y=0$: $−4x+y=-12$ $−4x+(0)=-12$ $−4x=-12$ $\frac{-4x}{-4}=\frac{-12}{-4}$ $x=3$ so $x=(3,0)$
