Mary Ann Singleton

Mary is the central character of the series. Starting as a naive girl, her character later becomes quite impulsive in nature. She is an innocent girl who went to San Francisco for the very first time for vacation, but she decided that she would stay there. It was a Bohemian apartment, and she started to experience things she could never have imagined being a naive girl from a conservative family. When the story begins, Mary is seen as a middle age woman who seems to be extremely career-driven. Her career made her abandon her daughter.

Shawna Hawkins

Shawna is the adopted daughter of Mary and her husband Brian. Her biological mother is Connie Bradshaw. Shawna is a bright queer character of the series. She is a charming woman with brown hair and brown eyes. Although she is a bisexual woman, her first serious relationship was with the girl named Claire. Claire was filming a documentary movie on Bradbury lane. The two only dated for a short very as Claire broke up with her to focus on her career.

Jake Rodriguez

Jake is the only transgender character of the series. When the story unfolds years later, he is seen as a caregiver of Anna. Jake was in a relationship with a woman named Margot Park. Their relationship started to go through a rollercoaster ride as Jake began to feel his attraction towards men. Margot herself was also a lesbian woman.

Micheal'Mouse'Tolliver

Micheal Tolliver was a gay man who used to work in the advertiser firm of Mona Ramsay. He was one of the closest people of Mona. When Mary started working there, she became acquainted with Michael and soon the two became best friends. They move in together in the Bradbury lane apartment. Later he gets into a relationship with Ben Marshall, who was much younger than him.
