    Students will be able to use technology to explore archival information about the Gilded Age

    Structure:

    Many of Lily's actions can be explained by the prevailing etiquette customs at the time. During the Gilded Age, etiquette books surged in popularity. People of all classes could, for the first time, really have a visual guide to the rules and regulations of a "well-bred" man or woman.

    Students should conduct an advanced search to find a book of etiquette published during the Gilded Age....
