    Objective:

    Students will examine the ways in which the characters' experiences reflect one another's

    CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.3 CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.9-10.4

    Structure:

    Assign each student one of the following roles: Darling, Aunt Fostalina, Tshaka Zulu, or Uncle Kojo. Multiple students will represent each character. As a class they will write a collective story which deals with the accumulation of their experiences immigrating to America.
