In the wake of the #MeToo campaign, students protested to have John kicked out of college.

Vladimir

Vladimir is a newly recruited professor at the Liberal Arts College. The narrator describes Vladimir as a handsome man whom any woman cannot ignore and look at twice or thrice. Vladimir has come with his young wife and a child. However, this does not prevent the narrator from secretly dying to have him. The narrator says that she dressed to attract Vladimir. At last, she succeeded in having a secretive affair with him.

Students

The students at the Liberal Arts College are aggrieved characters because male professors demand sex in exchange for better grades. Female students are the most affected because if they refuse to cooperate with sexual predators, they fail their exams. The students get fed up at the peak of the #MeToo campaign and protest the removal of the narrator's husband, the worst sexual predator.
