There are several points of overlap between Valerie’s brief memoir and the larger story in V for Vendetta. Valerie mentions that she wishes one day the world will have roses again. V grows roses that should be extinct. Valerie also mentions how good her life was going before the war. This echoes Evey’s story of her childhood. The Salt Flats was the show the employees of Jordan Tower were watching when V invaded. The Salt Flats is also the show in which Valerie starred.
