Two Fables Metaphors and Similes

Two Fables Metaphors and Similes

Worse crime than murder

For the King and the Noblemen there is not worse crime than poaching. It is worse even than murdering someone, and the punishment is terrible suffering until exhaustion falls and the criminal drowns. Despite all this, Hengist still decides to take his chances and poach in the middle of the day, even in the close vicinity of the king's castle.

Like a silken glove

Hengist notices the princess, the king's only daughter and can barely control his desire. She is so beautiful, with her skin like a silken glove that the young poacher even thinks about raping her, but quickly removing those thought because he is against violence.

Beauty like eclipse

Princess Mammalia suddenly becomes so beautiful that every man is dying for the glimpse of her beauty. Even the astronomers are heard saying to themselves that it would be safer to look at the princess through the protective glass, like one does during the eclipse.

Like marionettes

Princess Mammalia soon gets rid of her good nature that she was known for, and her behavior takes on a sinister mood. She notices the power that her beauty brings her and decides to use it. She starts to despise the men and finds joy in playing with them, noticing how easy it is, like playing with marionettes.
