Billie is the main protagonist of the novel. She is a character that generally sees the wrongdoings of the humanity in its destruction of the surroundings and themselves and strives for a change. She and Spike break the boundaries of conventionality and fight for what they have going on together.
Spike
Spike is the Robo Sapiens that gradually develops emotions and what one could consider a soul. Robo Sapiens are meant to evolve by themselves, but the answer to what extent is left vague, however, from the example of Spike and Billie's connection that transcends death, one could say that they are more similar to humans than what could be considered desirable.

Handsome is the researcher of Planet Blue who got the idea to direct the asteroid to hit the planet to wipe out dinosaurs.

It is quite a stereotypical and descriptively accurate name of a female character whose main concern is her appearance. She is a character from the first part of the novel.
Friday
Friday is a character from Wreck City. Prior to the third world war, he was a bank capitalist. In the novel's present he is strongly against the MORE company and sees the hypocrisy in their disguised grasp for control hidden behind the ideas of betterment of humanity.
