The album peaked at No. 49 on the U.S. Billboard 200 in 1978.[35] It reached No. 12 on the Australian albums chart[36] and No. 11 on the New Zealand albums chart.[37] The album is described as the "definitive version of the [Rocky Horror] score".[38]
