Palpatine, who has been perceived to be dead, is alive. He has rejuvenated himself and is leading a fleet of ships strong enough to annihilate other planets. Palpatine is enraged by Rey and wants her killed. Rey is in Resistance, a group led by Leia Organa. The news that Palpatine is alive shakes the whole Resistance team. Therefore, they must find a way to terminate him. Rey discovers that Sith Wayfinder can lead them to Palpatine’s place. As a result, Rey, Finn, Poe, and Chewbacca set off their journey to deal with Palpatine.

Rey learns that she is Palpatine’s grandchild. Palpatine explains to her that killing him would automatically place her to the dark side. Besides, his legacy would continue controlling the galaxy. However, Rey hears none of it. She goes ahead and kills him using her lightsaber. In the end, the Resistance group wins the fight. Following the defeat of Palpatine, people start celebrating. The film shows that people need to stand up against intimidation, since working together as a team achieves victory. The Resistance team works together and eventually defeats Palpatine.

The film renders victory, defeat, and friendship among characters. For instance, Resistance plans and achieves victory over First Order. Rey leads the team to Exegol, Palpatine’s location, to achieve victory over the emperor. The Resistance team attains victory over the Sith. Friendship in this film is displayed by the relationship shown by the Resistance members. The members work together in a common goal to defeat the enemy.
