Little Billy
He is the main protagonist of the story and is shown to be a young, adventurous boy with a love for life. He is rebellious and disobeys his mother who forbids him from going to the Forest of Sin. However, he quickly begins to regret venturing into it when he is chased by the Spittler.

Also simply known as the Spittler, this creature is the main antagonist of the story. It is described by the red smoke it leaves in its wake and is rumored to go around swallowing up the forest inhabitants in one gulp.
Don Mini
He is the leader of the Minpins, a group of miniature people living in the trees of the forest of Sin. He recruits Billy into helping him save the Minpins from the reach of the Spittler, known as the Belcher to them, and form a quick companionship with him.
