Create a visual representation of a novel's theme.

Structure:

Begin a discussion with students about the theme of hope portrayed in the novel. Ask students to identify moments when characters are hopeful and when characters lose hope. What helps the characters regain hope? Discuss how even when circumstances seem dire, hope can exist.
