Vigil Hilts
Vigil Hilts is a USAAF (The United States Army Air Force) Captain that worked during the second world war. He was captured and managed to escape numerous times before he was stationed in the highest security prison for determined prisoners. He managed to escape there as well, several times before he was caught and eventually died there. He is remembered for his heroic acts.
Archibald Ives
Archibald Ives, called and most commonly known as Ives and “Archie”, was a Scottish RAF (The United Kingdom’s Air Force) flying officer. He tried escaping the moment he entered the camp, much like Vigil Hilts did. They spend a lot of time together in the cooler cell, where they find that they have many similarities. They form a bond with each other during their time and plan their escapes together.
Roger Bartlett
Roger Bartlett, commonly referred to as the “Big X,” was a RAF Squadron Leader for the United Kingdom. He had escaped many times from different prisons, which is how he gained his name and reputation. Roger cared about the group as a whole and wanted everyone to escape, without letting anyone be left behind. He became the leader of the escape and died when he was caught the last time.
