The White Tower as a symbol of authority

The White Tower is used as a symbol of authority. Every figure who wants to be Amyrlin is eyeing the control of White Tower. Elaida’s rule and control of the Tower face opposition and rejection from Sedai and Black Ajah forces, who later install Egwene as the new Amyrlin when the Tower is damaged.

Rand as a symbol of determination

Throughout the text, Rand is an emblem of courage and determination. Rand makes several attempts to restore order. For instance, Rand is determined to declare a new king, and he is ready to fight the rising bubbles of evil. Rand is captured severally, but after gaining his freedom, he continues to fight, and at last, he manages to destroy the access key used to destroy the world.

Black Ajah

Black Ajah symbolizes dark forces that are fighting against the established rule. According to the revelations of Verin, Black Ajah is a mole, and its members are dangerous to the established rule. Egwene takes Verin as her lifetime researcher to come up with strategies to deter the Black Ajah forces from endangering her role.

Aes Sedai

Aes Sedai is a sarcastic character who the author figuratively uses to represent hatred. Elaida faces serious objection from Sedai and his allies. When the White Tower is damaged during an attack, Elaid is missing in action, and Sedai takes that opportunity to appoint Egwene as the new Amyrlin. Consequently, Seadai manages to revenge against Elaida’s reign.
