Biography and Fiction

Objective:

Students will be able to understand the influence of the author's life on his fiction

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.11-12.1.A

Structure:

As homework the night before, the students should have researched Nam Le's biography, including both primary and secondary sources. They should have collected at least five sources and written a brief paragraph describing each one. Have them bring these sources to class today, either printed out or saved to a flash drive or tablet.
