    At the end of Chapter Seven, Lewis includes a series of photos of Michael, on the football field or with the Tuohy family. What role, if any, do these photos serve in enhancing the text? Do you think they are a good addition to the book or unnecessary? Explain.

    Students should note that the photos of Michael help to show readers just how massive Michael was in size growing up. There’s a photo of him at age 10 where he’s already quite large.
