The higher a body’s absolute temperature, the more energetic it is, and this decreases the wavelength at which it emits most strongly. This explains the apparent color shift from long-wavelength red to short-wavelength blue. This is discussed and shown on page 1304.
The total amount of radiation also increases as the temperature increases, as shown by the Stefan-Boltzmann Law.
