Smog is a black-brown mist that contaminates the air. The smog consist in a mix made of ground-lebel ozone (O3) and other chemicals as carbon monoxide (CO) soot and dust. Ground-level ozone forms when hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides react in presence of sunlight. Some adverse effects of ozone on human health are irritated eyes, damaged pulmonary alveoli, shortness of breath, fatigue, nausea, headaches and respiratory problems.
