Chapter 2 - Motion Along a Straight Line - Questions - Page 31: 5d

Answer

For magnitude of acceleration, 2=6>3=5>1=4=0

Work Step by Step

When finding the magnitude of a quantity, the sign of the quantity is disregarded and all values are treated as positive. In a velocity v. time graph, the slope is the acceleration. Steeper slopes are greater accelerations. Both points 2 and 6 are equal, and have the steepest slope. Points 3 and 5 are equal and have the next greatest slope. And points 1 and 4 both have slopes of zero.
