Chapter 2 - Motion Along a Straight Line - Questions - Page 31: 1e

Answer

The acceleration is varying in direction but constant in rate.

Work Step by Step

The acceleration is always positive, however, it slows down the particle in the negative quadrant. The rate remains the same, but the acceleration has to slow down the particle to a stop, and then speed it up again in the opposite direction.
