Answer

Nucleic acid.

Work Step by Step

The monomers of nucleic acids are known as nucleotides. Nucleotides have a sugar, a base, and a phosphate group attached to it. Therefore, Many nucleotides join together to form a polymer known as a nucleic acid. In a nucleotide, the phosphate group on carbon number 5 of one sugar links up with the carbon number 3 of another sugar which results in the removal of a water molecule. This is a condensation reaction. The new bond formed is known as the phosphodiester bond. In this way, many nucleotides link up to form a nucleic acid.
